TLC180

Here's the card I did for today's Technique Challenge from splitcoast . It is called a square spring card. I've never done one of these before. It was quite fun! It looks way better in person. They always do. Pray that I'll learn how to work my camera :)

This is really pretty. I just love the Always set.

I've learned a few tricks with my camera long the way. I have a digital slr, but I've heard of good results with point and shoot camera also. To get my white background I buy white foam core board (you can get it at Michael's for $0.99 a sheet when it's on sale). Set one up for you back and for the ground. Then buy two work flood lights from a place like Lowes. I have ones that have silver surrounds and I think they were $3 or $4 each. I use Natural Daylight bulbs in them. You need 2 so that you can put your project where they both cross for the best lighting. I then use my camera on the AV mode. It has worked best for me to let in the most light. I take between 3 and 4 photos to pick out the best.

Then I always edit them in photo editing software. I adjust brightness, highlights, color saturation and sharpness. When you are done you can then add a watermark if you want.

It did take me months to figure it out, but now I have it down to a science.

HTH,
Jenn

I wasn't sure which blog is better for reaching you so i thought I'd try this one. Thanks for the birthday wishes! I'm sorry too that we weren't able to see each other while up there. I'm nt sure how the districts run for the W.P.F. but I was wondering if any of your ladies will be attending the women's meeting in Natchez Missippi.

The ladies' meeting is Saturday October the 11th. It's only a 1 day event. LaJoyce Martin is the speaker. We are going to arrive Friday morning in Natchez do some sight seeing and spend the night so we will already be there for the meeting bright and early! Pre-registration is $30 at the door it is $35. If any one is interrested let me know asap there is a possibility we could find extra available rooms.
